K&D Technology's narrow-bezel LCD display module combines advanced material innovation with precision manufacturing processes, establishing a new flagship standard for premium laptop displays.
Designed for thin-and-light laptops and high-performance notebooks, the module delivers an enhanced visual experience, an ultra-slim structure, and greater design flexibility. It provides an advanced display solution for laptop brands seeking to upgrade their products with premium aesthetics, higher screen-to-body ratios, and reliable performance.
This LCD display module is engineered around an ultra-thin and lightweight design concept.
It uses a single layer of 0.25 mm ultra-thin LCD glass, together with a customized ultra-thin polarizer, an integrated backlight adhesive and metal-frame structure, a high-efficiency silver reflector, and a single-layer composite optical film.
Through material reduction and structural optimization, the overall module thickness is reduced to only 1.75 mm, representing an advanced benchmark for the laptop display industry.
The design meets the increasingly demanding requirements of ultra-slim notebook computers while maintaining the structural strength required for reliable assembly and long-term use.

0.25 mm: Ultra-thin LCD glass
1.75 mm: Overall module thickness
±50 μm: Laser processing accuracy
To achieve an exceptionally high screen-to-body ratio, the module incorporates an industry-leading polarizer laser-cutting process.
With processing accuracy controlled within ±50 μm, the distance between the active area and the outer frame is significantly reduced. This enables a screen-to-body ratio of up to 95%, creating a nearly borderless and more immersive viewing experience.
The display also supports refresh rates of up to 120 Hz, delivering smoother motion, faster visual response, and reduced image trailing.
These capabilities make the module suitable for a wide range of premium laptop applications, including professional office work, entertainment, gaming, video editing, graphic design, and content creation.
95%: Screen-to-body ratio
120 Hz: Maximum refresh rate
±50 μm: Laser processing accuracy
To support premium industrial design and precise integration with the laptop chassis, the four corners of the LCD glass are processed using a high-precision contour-grinding technique.
The minimum processing tolerance reaches ±50 μm, enabling complex spline curves and customized corner profiles. This allows the display module to fit seamlessly into the overall laptop enclosure and supports more distinctive product designs.
Functional openings, including infrared sensor holes and LED openings, can also be precisely reserved at the top of the LCD.
A 3 μm ultra-thin ink-printing process is applied to these areas. At an infrared wavelength of 940 nm, the transmittance reaches at least 81%, helping balance optical performance with functional and structural requirements.
After the FOB process is completed, a side-edge potting ink spray process is used. The coating thickness is controlled at only 25 μm.
Each unit is then inspected using automated optical inspection, or AOI, to ensure consistent display performance, coating quality, and manufacturing precision.

During the front-side, backlight assembly, and FOB dispensing processes, high-precision resin dispensing technology is used to achieve a minimum adhesive line width of 0.7 mm. This helps further reduce the bezel size while maintaining reliable bonding and sealing performance.
The adhesive thickness and dispensing consistency are inspected through automated optical inspection, or AOI, to ensure process accuracy and stable product quality.
After the display module is fully assembled, an additional 0.55 mm-wide sealing adhesive line is applied to the rear side of the backlight module. This secondary sealing process reinforces the module structure, reduces the impact of external interference, and helps maintain long-term display stability and service life.
0.7 mm: Minimum adhesive line width for front-side, backlight, and FOB dispensing
0.55 mm: Rear-side backlight sealing adhesive width
AOI: Full automated optical inspection

From material innovation and precision processing to ultra-thin construction, high screen-to-body ratios, optical performance, and reliable sealing, this narrow-bezel LCD display module integrates a comprehensive range of advanced display technologies.
It is designed to meet the demanding requirements of premium laptops in terms of:
