When it comes to high-end displays, the cover glass is more than just a protective layer; it is the interface between the user and the digital world. At K&D, our 3A Cover Glass technology is designed to provide ultimate clarity, durability, and touch comfort in any environment.
AG Coating transforms specular reflection into diffuse reflection by chemically etching or spraying the glass surface. It creates a slightly matte finish that scatters incoming light.
Key Benefits: Anti-glare touch screen effectively reduces "mirror-like" glare under strong light or sunlight, preventing eye strain and ensuring the screen remains readable in bright outdoor or industrial environments.
AR Coating is a vacuum-sputtered multi-layer optical coating that increases the light transmission of the glass while reducing its reflectance. It uses destructive interference to cancel out reflected light and allow more light to pass through the panel.
Key Benefits: It boosts the screen's contrast and color vibrancy. While standard glass reflects about 8% of light, AR-coated glass can reduce reflection to less than 1%, making the anti-reflective display look incredibly vivid.
AF Coating, also known as oleophobic coating, uses a specialized nano-material to create a hydrophobic and oil-resistant surface. Inspired by the "Lotus Effect," it minimizes the surface tension of the glass, making it difficult for oil, sweat, and fingerprints to stick.
Key Benefits: It keeps the screen looking clean, makes fingerprints easy to wipe off, and provides a silky-smooth touch experience for stylus or finger input.
The standard hardness specification for our 3A cover glass is 7H, and a 9H version is currently under development.
The first-pass yield for our cover glass is 60%.
We currently use a single-unit coating process, and an automated coating line is scheduled to launch in 2026.
Reflectivity can be reduced to as low as 0.3%.
